Donnielle James L.Ac, M.A., M.S.T.O.M. began her journey in holistic health after being introduced to dance movement therapy and complementary medicine while studying dance and psychology at the University of Oregon. She continued her movement studies while working in social services and mental health, leading to a certification in Pilates emphasizing injury rehabilitation, dance, and sport specific conditioning through Long Beach Dance Conditioning.
While completing a Masters of Arts in Psychology at Pepperdine University, she became interested in working with others in a more empowering and holistic way than typically observed in clinical settings. As a longtime student of classical ballet and other forms of movement, she completed continuing education in Dance and Somatic therapies, as well as certifications in Pilates, Reiki, and Gyrokinisis. This lead to teaching Pilates in the Los Angeles area in a variety of settings with a holistic, therapeutic and integrative approach suitable for all levels, goals and abilities.
I believe in providing an integrative approach to health and fitness emphasizing mind-body awareness, patient education and an active lifestyle.
